(6/18/24, 10:44AM:) We are so excited to welcome you to Ithaca soon! Please note we are keeping an eye on the weather and keeping plans flexible in case of rain. As of now, the ceremony is still scheduled to be in the vineyards, but we will update here if that changes (and moves to the Hangtime at Treleaven). If you plan to drive yourself, the address is roughly 414 Lake Rd King Ferry, NY 13081. We recommend using the coordinates 42.63820° N, 76.63294° W, and see the picture below for its location relative to the Hangtime.
Why Ithaca?
To put it simply, because we love it here. Though we are both originally from other cities, Ithaca has been our home together and where we have shared so many of our best memories. The nature is beautiful, the food is delicious, the wine is world class, and the city is very special. We absolutely cannot wait to share our love of Ithaca with all of our closest friends and family! We encourage you to take some time to explore the area while you're here and are more than happy to recommend our local favorites if you cannot find enough to do on the 'Things to Do' page!
What do I wear?
Think cocktail or semi-formal! Our ceremony will be outside, uncovered (note: due to the heat wave this week, we will have a tent at the ceremony spot and a water station), and in the grass of a beautiful picturesque vineyard overlooking Cayuga Lake (weather permitting), and the reception will be outside and covered. Please dress to be comfortable outdoors! Ithaca in June can be warm during the afternoon and cool down in the evening (though dancing should keep you warm anyway!). Men should not feel obligated to wear a full suit/jacket in the summer sun, and women should also wear clothes appropriate for the weather!
How do I get to the venue?
The ceremony and reception sites (about a half mile apart) are about a 30 minute drive from downtown Ithaca and have ample parking if you choose to drive yourself. We will also provide transportation with stops at the Holiday Inn Express and Suites and the Ithaca Commons. The current plan is to have the transportation on site at the Holiday Inn and Marriott at 3:15pm and departing at 3:30pm. It will take guests directly to the ceremony, then transport them to the reception afterwards. The shuttles will return guests to their pickup locations at the end of the evening. (The shuttles will remain on site, so if necessary and given enough interest could make an early return around 9:15.)
Will there be alcohol?
Yes! Our wedding will have an open bar with beer, wine, seltzers, and wine slushies. To manage expectations, please note there will not be any liquor. However, we will have local craft beer, wine from an award-winning Finger Lakes winery, seltzers, and extremely delicious and refreshing wine slushies, so there should be plenty of options to suit your tastes!
