Ithaca is about a five and a half hour drive from both the Cleveland and Pittsburgh areas. There is plenty of parking at the venue and the hotels. The ceremony starts at 4pm, so if you choose to drive you could opt to make it a long weekend and explore the beautiful area or head into town the day of!
Ithaca has its own small airport with direct flights to and from JFK and Newark airports.
Syracuse has a slightly larger airport and typically has a broader selection of flights. The Syracuse airport is about 1 hr and 20 minutes from Downtown Ithaca. Guests flying into Syracuse might also consider staying in Auburn, NY about 40 minutes from the airport and 30 minutes from the venue.
New York City has the closest large airports. The city is about 3.5 hours from Ithaca, so flying into the city will also require a rental car or one of the frequently running buses between NYC and Ithaca.
Ithaca (and the Finger Lakes in general) is a popular summer destination, so there are many choices for hotels and accommodations in Ithaca and the Cayuga Lake region. We suggest looking around for the option that best suits your needs (and note that pricing may vary throughout the year). We are providing a list of some popular ones, but you might also want to consider AirBnBs (Fall Creek, Cayuga Heights, or Lansing would be good cities to look in) or smaller Inns or Bed and Breakfasts depending on your personal preferences. Note the venue is on the east side of Cayuga Lake about a 30 minute drive north from Downtown Ithaca.
We have a small room block at this hotel at a rate of $249 per night. You can book directly through the link, or if the block fills, call the hotel directly. The Holiday Inn Express is conveniently located on the main road into and out of Ithaca, near Buttermilk Falls State Park, and with parking and breakfast included. We will be providing transportation from here (and a stop near the Commons) to/from the venue, or it's about a 30 minute drive.
This hotel is located in 'downtown' Ithaca, known as the Commons. There are many shops and restaurants within an easy walk. In addition, the hotel bar is open late for guests who want to keep the celebration going after the reception! The bride and groom will be staying here, and transportation will be provided from here to/from the venue, or it's about a 30 minute drive.
There are two Hilton hotels located downtown on the Commons, also an easy walk to many shops and restaurants: Canopy by Hilton Ithaca and Hilton Garden Inn. The transportation pickup/dropoff at the Marriot is a 3 minute walk from the Canopy and a 5 minute walk from the Garden Inn. Both options are about a 30 minute drive to the venue.
This historic inn was originally an 1830s stage coach inn. It has its own bar and restaurant and is also located close to Cayuga Lake access and one of our favorite local breweries (Salt Point). It's about a 15 minute drive to the venue.
Some more hotels to consider include the Homewood Suites by Hilton, Courtyard by Marriott, Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Ithaca, and Best Western University Inn.
