1. What should I wear? Is there a dress code?

The dress code for our wedding is semi-formal/cocktail attire. Ladies should wear semi-formal/ cocktail dresses, and gentlemen should wear a suit and tie or a sports coat. If you want to go all out feel free to wear your fanciest outfits. Please take the opportunity to be a bougie as you want.


2. What will the weather in Marylnad be like this time of year?

August is generally fairly warm in Maryland. Please bring something cool and comfortable to wear before or after the wedding. The venue does have air conditioning in the ballroom and chapel.


3. Where are the ceremony and the reception taking place?

The wedding ceremony and reception are being held at the same location. The Cherry Hill Ballroom: 9832 Cherry Hill Rd., College Park, MD 20740. The ballroom is located on the property of Cherry Hill Park Campgrounds. The gate attendant will provide instructions upon arrival. Let them know you are attending a wedding in the ballroom.


4. Will the ceremony and reception be indoors or outdoors?

The ceremony and reception will be held indoors. Though there is some outside deck area available for our guests who need some fresh air or a smoke break.


5. What happens after the ceremony?

After the ceremony, the bridal party will be taking pictures nearby for around an hour. Guests can head straight to the reception hall, where we will be serving finger foods and beverages.


6. Does your wedding have a theme?

Our wedding does not have a particular theme; however, we do have a color palette if you would like to dress accordingly. Our colors are Red, Black, Gold, and White.


7. Are there other wedding events I can attend?

There will be a pre-wedding get-together at the house or at a local venue. If you are interested in attending, please reach out for more details.


8. What should I do if I can’t make it?

You will be missed! If you cannot make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly. And stay tuned on the website for post-event pictures and a recap.


9. How do I get to the venue?

The wedding and ceremony will be held at 9832 Cherry Hill Rd., College Park, MD 20740. Upon arrival follow the signage to the ballroom.


10. What time should I arrive?

Please feel free to arrive beginning at 11:00 am, the ceremony will begin between 12:00 pm -1:00 pm.


11. Where should guests park? Is parking free?

The location has ample on-site parking outside of the ballroom.


12. Are kids welcome?

Kids are welcome. This will be a kid- and family-friendly event; keep in mind that there will also be a bar at the reception. If your children will be joining you, please be sure to include them on the RSVP so we have a proper head count for seating needs.


13. Can I bring a date?

Yes, most definitely; however, please be sure to include them on the RSVP so we have a proper head count for seating needs.


14. Do you have a hotel block for guests? Where do you recommend I stay?

We do not have a hotel block for guests but there are a number of local hotels in the area. Also if you like to camp the venue is surrounded by a local campground that offers RV, cabin, and tent camping. More information about hotel options is located under the travel tab.


15. When is the RSVP deadline? Do I need to mail back my RSVP or can I do it online?

You can either mail back your RSVP or complete your RSVP online, whichever works best for you. Whichever you choose, please do so by May 01, 2024.


16. Are the ceremony and reception location wheelchair accessible?

Yes, Both the ceremony chapel and reception Ballroom are wheelchair accessible. Please let us know ahead of tie if you require any special accommodations.


17. Will food and drinks be served at the reception? What kind of food?

Food and beverages will be served, including a cocktail hour after the ceremony with light refreshments, followed by dinner with a bar, coffee, and tea, as well as a buffet style dinner.


18. Will there be any vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free/special diet options?

This will be a meat-heavy event. However, if meat is not your vibe, please let us know when you RSVP. There is a vegetarian/ Vegan meal opton. If you have any allergies or special dietary requirements, please let us know ahead of time via your RSVP.


19. Where are you registered?

We are currently only registered on Amazon; however, we also have two cash funds set up on this website. One honeymoon fund and one new home fund. We appreciate any and all support in starting our new life together.


20. Will transportation be provided between to/from the hotel?

There is no shuttle provided between the venue and local hotels. There is ample onsite parking as well as a local bus that has a stop onsite. Uber and Lyft are also both readily available in the area.


21. May I take a centerpiece/candle/flowers home as a souvenir?

No, the centerpieces belong to the venue, but please be sure to stop at the welcome table to sign the “guest book” and collect your souvenir.


22. Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Yes, we encourage guests to post pictures on their social media channels; our only request is that you tag each photo with our wedding hashtag #GogocraigandMrsRenee so we can keep track of all of your pictures! There will also be a shared photo album to capture everyone's memories from the evening, so please be sure to keep an eye out for the link/QR code upon arrival.
