Guests may require a visa to travel to the UK for the wedding. Indian citizens currently DO require a visa.

American citizens currently do NOT require a visa. But, the UK is planning to start electronic visas for US tourists 'by the end of 2024'. These visas will cost £10 and have a ~3-day turnaround. We will keep an eye on this regulation and post any updates here. More information can be found here for those who are interested.

Balcombe Place is a country manor house in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, England. The sections below have some advice on getting to and from the venue.

First, here are a few general tips to consider:

1. You cannot walk to the venue - you need to drive/taxi to the venue entrance, even if you are staying nearby or taking a train to the nearest station.

2. There are no Ubers in the area. Local taxi information can be found in the 'Local Taxis' section at the end of the page below.

3. The closest train station to the venue is Haywards Heath station (not Balcombe station). This train station has a taxi stand outside.

4. Everyone should pre-book a taxi to their accommodation for each night after the wedding events. There are no taxi stands near the venue, and local taxis must be booked in advance to guarantee availability.

5. On the way to Balcombe Place for the wedding events, those traveling directly from their accommodation should pre-book a taxi. Those coming from the Haywards Heath train station do not necessarily need to pre-book a taxi, because there is a taxi stand at the station.

Please pre-book taxis to and from Balcombe Place for the wedding events. There are no taxi stands near the venue, and local taxis must be booked in advance to guarantee availability. Taxi rides within a ~10-minute drive of the venue cost ~£15. Guests can also rent a car nearby or from London.

From central London, the venue is a ~50 minute train ride followed by an 8 minute taxi. Or, a ~1.5 hour direct taxi/drive from the city.

There are direct trains to Haywards Heath station from multiple stations in London, including London Bridge, Victoria, and Blackfriars (~50 minutes). (You can look at the train schedule and book your ticket on trainline.com. Please note that you cannot tap-in/tap-out between London and Haywards Heath station so you must book your ticket in advance). When you arrive at Haywards Heath station, you can take a taxi to Balcombe Place from the stand just outside the station. For the way back to London after the wedding events, please note that trains stop running around 11pm. Please pre-book a taxi back to London for your way home.

If you do not want to take the train, you can Uber to Balcombe Place from the city, but you will need to pre-book a local taxi back to the city after the events each night. There are no Ubers or taxi stands near the venue, and local taxis must be booked in advance to guarantee availability.

For those who are driving in, free parking is available at the venue. There is a short walk between the parking area and the venue entrance (~3 minutes).
