Kelsey and Ritwik met while he was working towards his PhD in Industrial Engineering at the University of Buffalo. Ritwik was hired by Fidelity Investments as a Quantitative Analyst bringing him to New Hampshire, where Kelsey found a job with Northwestern Mutual as a Campus Recruiter. For Ritwik’s older brother Rajat’s wedding in 2022, Kelsey took her first trip to India with Ritwik where she met with his family. She prepared for the trip by beginning to learn Hindi (Ritwik’s first language) from Sneha Jha online. Kelsey was fortunate to stay with Sneha’s family in Patna, who taught her much about local culture in Ritwik’s home state. The couple made another trip to meet Ritwik’s niece after she was born and will have made a third trip together in March 2025 for an Indian wedding of their own. *photo taken at Rajat’s wedding ceremony*

In order to be closer to the city, Ritwik and Kelsey moved to Boston together with Kelsey’s cat, Milo, as Kelsey took on a new Campus Recruiting role at the public accounting firm CohnReznick. Ritwik has also changed teams and now works in Fidelity’s Boston office. The couple is enjoying all that Boston has to offer, walking through historic areas, local parks, and exploring all around New England. *photo taken at View Boston in the Prudential building*

Ritwik’s Mom, Dad, and younger brother Rishabh traveled from India to the US in July 2024 to visit with Ritwik and Kelsey in Boston. They spent a week in Buffalo, NY to meet Kelsey’s family and enjoy Western New York. On Kelsey’s parents’ anniversary, Ritwik popped the question at the Erie County Botanical Gardens in front of both families. On March 6th Ritwik and Kelsey made their union official in India surrounded by many of Ritwik’s family and friends and even some folks who flew in from the US.
