We first met at the Penny following an OSU football game (Go Pokes!) and had been introduced through a mutual friend over some drinks. We enjoyed a lengthy conversation that somehow ended up with us discussing horses and our background growing up and then we both went our separate ways. A couple of months later RJ slid into Kelly's DMs on Instagram, where we started chatting prior to our first date. RJ was living in Fort Worth at the time, but (conveniently) decided to drive up to Stillwater for a wrestling match and our first date. We went to a local restaurant and ended up talking until closing. For our second date, we met half way (in RJ's hometown) for a quick Sunday lunch and drive around the area. The beginning of COVID unravelled shortly after our second date, and Kelly went home to finish out the semester in California thinking that was going to be the end of their dating. RJ was persistent and kept up with phone calls and ending up flying out to California at the beginning of summer, and we haven't looked back since :)

We are so excited to be able to celebrate our marriage with our favorite people, and we can't wait until 2024!
