Wedding Party

Zack Gould
Zack Gould - Best Man
Rob and Zack met at Penn State and forged a friendship that would carry them out of school and eventually to present day Lehigh Valley, where they both live and work in almost the exact same specialization of pharmaceutical consulting. But outside of that boring stuff, they also both REALLY have a thing for gaming, trips to Japan & Las Vegas, and overpriced luxury watches. Zack is a natural host, the life of the party, a sage advisor when required, and has promised not to let Rob down as his best man. And you can bet everything you've got at a high-stakes table at Luxor that he's going to do an amazing job.
Jes Michalak
Jes Michalak - Maid of Honor
Jes and Sara have been best friends since nearly the first day Jes arrived at Smith College. Of course, it took Sara awhile to realize they had been friends that long as, for a short time, she was fooled by Jes's ever changing hair length/color into thinking she had met SEVERAL cool crew friends. They have made the effort to talk and visit as often as they can, despite both of them moving multiple times around the country. Jes was able to meet Rob in September 2018 when Sara brought him out to Seattle, and gave him her vote of approval. Sara was MOH for Jes back in 2014, and is thrilled to have her bestie by her side for her own wedding.
Molly Mulligan
Molly Mulligan - Bridesmaid
Molly and Sara have known one another since Smith College, but their friendship really solidified while they were both at at UMass Amherst for graduate school. They have many fond memories of playing ice hockey on the Vipers, watching Desperate Housewives while drinking white wine, road tripping to North Carolina/P-town/around Israel and Jordan, and taking long walks around Northampton late at night and musing about life. Molly is one of the most organized people Sara know's, and she will rest easy knowing Molly is helping to organize her wedding.
Brian Wickey
Brian Wickey - Groomsman
Rob met Wick at Penn State when the latter arrived in Hazleton, noticed that the campus didn't have a Paintball Club, and decided to do something about it. Rob walked into the first club meeting and thus began an ironclad friendship that’s lasted WELL out of college. In 2011, Rob had the honor of being Brian’s Best Man in Las Vegas and the memories of that joyous event still echo to this day ("Paving Level 107"). In the years since, Wick has contributed more than anyone else to keeping the college group together by opening his house up and making sure that everyone comes by at least twice a year for a board gaming weekend. The world could do with a few more people like that in it.
Sara Yohe
Sara Yohe - Bridesmaid
Sara Y. was the assigned work buddy for Sara G. when she started work in 2014, and their friendship increased exponentially when they became office mates several months later. Oddly, as their friendship grew their productivity decreased....who would have thought! When Sara Y. moved to Houston back in 2017, Sara G. actually missed her going away party because she was on her first date with Rob!! Sara Y. didn't mind though, because she understood from the beginning that this guy was special. Sara Y. was an excellent sounding board during their road trip down to Texas, and when Sara G. arrived back in Allentown she went straight to date #2! When Sara G. moved down to Texas herself in 2018 she didn't look for housing any further than the neighborhood where Sara Y. lives, and they have been inseparable ever since.
Jesse Crew
Jesse Crew - Groomsman
Jesse is without a doubt Rob’s oldest friend dating back to first grade, specifically during recess where the two were in the Ghostbusters club (loved that movie back then and still love it to this day). But they ran into a snag when both wanted to be Doctor Peter Venkman. So the answer was that Jesse was regular Peter and Rob would be “eye-popping” Peter, after the action figure. And if that isn't the cornerstone that a lifelong friendship can be built on, then what is? Although Rob moved away from New York in 1999, he was a groomsman at Jesse’s wedding in 2009 and Rob would be honored if Jesse could return the favor in 2020.
Johnny Pluckman
Johnny Pluckman - Groomsman
Rob has technically known Pluckman the longest of anyone here (since kindergarten!) but it’s complicated by the fact that they weren’t friends until fifth grade. Quite the opposite, really. Fortunately, an intervention by Jesse made them realize that they were being ridiculous and should put aside their differences to focus on their mutual love of Nintendo games. Rob also owes much of his taste in music to Pluckman’s influence during those formative years, which is a debt that can never truly be repaid. In the years since, Rob and Pluckman have gotten together whenever their hectic lives would permit, whether it be at a craft brewery in Philadelphia or heavy metal show in Manhattan. \m/
Ashley Wittrig
Ashley Wittrig - Bridesmaid
Ashley and Sara actually started work on the very same day and met in the security office while waiting to get their badges. Little did they know that 5 years later they would be so close that Ashley and her husband would move just down the street when they joined Sara G. and Sara Y. in Houston. They've shared many fond memories of seeing wildlife (both dead and alive) while hiking around New Jersey, playing ALL the board games, and staying up late talking about work over wine. Today they are happy to have one another nearby for exploring their new city, or for avoiding the heat while watching Lord of the Rings.
Chelsea Thompson
Chelsea Thompson - Bridesmaid
Chelsea is one of Sara's oldest friends, having met in middle school when they were both new kids to middle of no-where Frederick. To this day Sara still has a bunch of the notes they used to write one another to pass the time while in class. Too many inside jokes and memories to list, let alone remember, some of the best are Camp Greentop, talking on the phone from the second they got home from school, joining the track team together and having to run in the same lane in one of their first track meets, being weirdo's and wearing crazy tie-dyed tights while being dressed up, and staying up until the wee hours of the morning hanging out in Frederick (or the IHOP!) Sara is extra excited to add her wedding day onto the list of adventures they have shared together.
Josh Smith
Josh Smith - Groomsman
Josh was Wick’s roommate for a semester at Penn State and Rob met the two of them at roughly the same time. They all became instant friends due to their shared affinity for paintball, board games, and spending WAY too much time at the arcade playing Dance Dance Revolution. Josh and Rob would later rent an apartment off-campus in Hazleton (home of the infamous Lord of the Drinks 1-4) and then another apartment a few years later in Media, PA (where alas there were NO Lord of the Drinks to be hosted!). But Josh and Rob have been together through thick and thin and it wouldn’t be a party without Mr. Smith in attendance.
