Q + A

What airport is best to fly into?

Geneva and Zurich are both pretty equidistant to both Interlaken and Crans-Montana, so either airport works?

Will there be any transportation providied?

Yes!! We are providing transportation from the welcome dinner back to Interlaken on June 17. On June 20, we are also providing transportation from Interlaken to Crans-Montana. During wedding festivities, those who are staying at the bottom of the mountain will have transportation to and from the Chetzeron Hotel. Those who are staying at Chetzeron will also have transportation provided down to Crans-Montana as needed.

What is the attire for the welcome dinnner?

Dressy casual. Remember we will be on a boat, so consider your shoe choice wisely. That being said, the waters on Lake Thun are quite calm. Note: Temperatures this time of year can vary, so check the weather before you leave the hotel! A light jacket is recommended.

What is the attire for the wedding?

Formal! Fellas, please wear a suit and tie. Ladies, think evening gowns and cocktail dresses.

What are the dates again?

Interlaken June 16-20 (welcome dinner June 17) Crans-Montana June 20-22 (wedding June 21)

When do I need to book my hotel by?

Interlaken: ASAP, prices are continuing to increase since my email in November. Crans-Montana: March 31st for those staying at hotels we have blocked. After that date availability will no longer be guaranteed.

What else is planned for the week?

We are hoping to gather everyone for beverages at Harder Kulm one of the evenings in Interlaken, details to come on that. We will be giving out a general itinerary of our own plans for the week, and invite anyone to join us! Aside from that, we encourage everyone to choose their own adventure! That is why we tried to provide lots of options on the things to do tab.

Should I buy a train pass or rent a car?

The Swiss train system is extremely efficient and gets you to places in the mountains that cars can't go. If you end up renting a car you'll end up using the trains/cable cars as well, thus negating any "savings" you may have had with renting a car.
