Below are some trails we have done personally as well as a few that are highly rated. We use All Trails as a starting point for you, but there are tons of blogs out there that go more in depth about what to expect on these trails.
REMEMBER: Certain trains and gondolas close earlier than you think, be sure to check schedules and keep an eye on the clock wherever you are.
Top Lauterbrunnen Hikes
Panorama Trail: Männlichen – Klein Scheidegg
This will be one of the most beautiful hikes you ever go on. It is very approachable from a difficulty standpoint as well. The trail is mostly flat, and we recommend starting in Männlichen, hike to Klein Scheidegg, then taking a train back to town.

Places to Visit by Train and Gondola

Lauterbrunnen Valley
Interlaken Ost train will take you to this charming town. Take a bus or walk the Lauterbrunnen - Staubbachfall - Trümmelbachfalle trail to Trümmelbach Falls, the only glacier falls visible underground in the world! A bit further up the trail is the Stechelberg Gondola that will take you to Mürren, from which you can take a train back to Lauterbrunnen.
Mürren
Mürren isn't the easiest place to get to, but boy do the views make it worth it! This link will give instruction on travel options. Once you're there, grab a drink and take it all in while you plan what to do next.
Wengen
Want to recreate this image for yourself? Visit the Maya Caprice Hotel in Wengen. Their patio gives some of the most stunning views.
Männlichen
Capture EPIC scenery at this destination. The best way to get there is taking a train to Wengen, then walking to the Luftseilbahn Wengen Männlichen cable car station.
You can walk up to the 360 panorama viewpoint, or it's a great starting point for several trails, such as the Panorama Trail.
Grindelwald
Grindelwald has so many activities to partake in! Take the gondola up to The First Cliff Walk, then make your way back down by zip line. Take a bus to visit the Glacier Canyon.
Jungfraujoch - Top of Europe
See the world from Jungfraujoch, Europe’s highest-altitude railway station, 3,454 meters (11,332 ft) above sea level. After a scenic train ride to the top, enjoy the amenities and stunning views of the Alps.
Grab a Bite
Bergrestaurant Pfingstegg
Hike up or take the Pfingstegg lift to this cozy restaurant with a view. We thoroughly enjoyed their Bailey's & Coffee and Rösti, a Swiss delicacy.
Harder Kulm
Join us at the top of Interlaken for a drink over a gorgeous sunset at Harder Kulm. Details to come!

Craving pizza? This was a charming little restaurant that we had a wonderful date night at. Fun wine selection and some wacky toppings.
