Robyn and Ryan first laid eyes on each other in 2011 at a brunch with mutual friends. Notably, Ryan sat next to Robyn the whole time and didn't introduce himself or speak to her. It's this sort of Man of Mystery allure that would eventually draw Robyn in.

For years, Robyn and Ryan were good friends who would often see each other at parties and other social events. Their similar sense of humour and passionate opinions on pop culture and topical events would often keep them chatting (and sometimes debating) until sunrise.

By 2017, Ryan had moved to Gander and was working as a paramedic, and Robyn was in St. John's. When Ryan managed to get a weekend off, he would often visit friends in St. John's, making use of Robyn's spare room. When Ryan was visiting, the two of them would usually go out to dinner and watch stand-up comedy specials on Netflix. This led them to realize how much they enjoyed spending time together, and they began dating.

In 2018, Ryan was accepted into MUN's Doctorate of Pharmacy program and moved to St. John's. By July 2019, him and Robyn had moved in together. Then in 2020, they made the big decision of moving to Grand Falls-Windsor to start building their future together.

Since then, they've bought a house, Ryan graduated with his PharmD, they adopted their dog Teddy, and eventually got engaged in February 2024. They're beyond ready to commit the rest of their lives to each other, and they can't wait to share that special occasion with family and friends.
