We met on our first day at Elon University in North Carolina! Even after Sam tried moving to a different dorm, we ended up on the same hall together and our friendship flourished.

Robyn could no longer deny that she "just wanted to be friends." After Sam's commendable persistence, we started our relationship officially in March.

Sam flew all the way from his hometown of London, England to visit Robyn's hometown in Malvern, Pennsylvania for the first time the summer after freshman year. He saw Robyn's high school, the city of brotherly love, and even Amish country!

Robyn returned the favor and visited Sam's "US home" in Lake Crystal, Minnesota, meeting lots of family members and even riding his family's horses together.

Robyn finally had the opportunity to visit Sam in London. We continued with our first international trip alone as a couple to Denmark and Sweden.

We spent a Thanksgiving studying abroad together in the mountains of Peru. Somehow we managed to keep our relationship a secret from the other students on the trip for the whole semester, finally coming clean at the airport!

We planned our first road trip of the United States together, staying in 7 different states before our final semester senior year. Robyn learned that glass boxes are not for her.

We graduated from Elon University in May of 2020 (kind of). After the start of COVID-19, our formal ceremony got pushed back, but we still made 2020 special. We even somehow managed to fall more in love with one another after quarantining together.

Robyn began her Master of Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill while Sam continued working full-time at Fidelity Investments.

We got engaged in December of 2021 during a date at the Como Park Zoo and Conservatory in St. Paul, Minnesota. Sam rented out a section of the conservatory and hired a photographer to capture Robyn's most surprising moment.

We have been happily engaged for over a year now and truly cannot wait for our wedding day to officially say "I do."
