Our Wedding

Our story is truly one for the books. We went to college together at UMass Amherst and started to get to know each other our senior year which began in 2017. We were out one night over Halloween weekend and after having our fun out at the bars we decided that it was probably a good idea to start heading home. We lived about 5 minutes from each other and started to walk towards the bus stop to catch a bus back. We saw the bus pulling up to the stop but we were still a good distance away from it. It was the last bus of the night and I was wearing heels so I wasn't able to walk fast. Colin was trying to be a gentleman, scooped me up and started running towards the bus stop so that we would make it. Unfortunately, he lost his footing and tripped. It was even more unfortunate that my head broke our fall. I was sent to the hospital via ambulance where I was diagnosed with a brain bleed and skull fracture. In the moment it was one of the scariest times of my life but I'm so happy I'm able to look back on this story now and see what came from it. Colin checked in on me everyday and came to visit me at the hospital before I went home to Long Island to recover. My dad picked me up from the hospital and drove me back home. I was there for about 1 week recovering. Colin was constantly asking how I was doing which lead to us talking everyday. Luckily, I made a full and speedy recovery. My dad drove me back to UMass and Colin came over as soon as I was back. We started to hangout everyday and feelings were growing rapidly. He asked me to be his girlfriend on November 19th, 2017 and we have been in love ever since!

This Inn located right in Scituate does not offer room blocks due to its limited size of 29 guest rooms but is a great option and highly recommended as the inn is in close proximity to the ceremony and reception venue. The Inn is a 3 minute drive and 11 minute walk from St. Mary of the Nativity and a 2 minute drive and 10 minute walk from Barker House. It also is within walking distance from restaurants, shops and activities in Scituate. Guest rooms are located over three floors that have wonderful views of Scituate Harbor and the Lighthouse. The Inn hosts a continental breakfast each morning. Please keep in mind the Inn does not have an elevator but there are a few rooms located off the lobby that can accommodate those with mobility issues.

We are happy to offer room blocks at this oceanfront hotel located in Hull, MA for Friday, August 8th, 2025 and Saturday August, 9th, 2025. Please be aware that there is a 2 night minimum for Saturday night reservations. We have reserved 10 rooms and can inquire about more if needed. If rooms are not reserved by Sunday, June 8th, 2025 the rooms will be released back into the hotel's inventory. The hotel is about a 25 minute drive to St. Mary of the Nativity and Barker House. We will be providing transportation to and from the venue for those who will be staying here. We have 4 different hotel room options with 2 pricing options. Another great option is to book an Airbnb in Scituate, MA. We recommend doing this sooner rather than later as Scituate is a small town and Airbnb options can book up quickly.

This hotel does not offer room blocks due to its limited size of 22 guest rooms but is another great option located in Hull, MA. The hotel is about a 20 minute drive to St. Mary of the Nativity and Barker House.

Nantasket Beach Hotel

For those of you traveling from Long Island to Massachusetts a great option to break the drive up is to take the Cross Sound Ferry out of Orient, NY. The ferry is approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes long. The ferry goes into New London, CT which is approximately a 2 hour and 20 minute drive to Scituate, MA. You can also travel back to Long Island using the ferry which leaves out of New London, CT, where it came into from Long Island. You can either walk on the ferry or you can drive onto the ferry and take your car.

Cross Sound Ferry

Another option for those traveling from Long Island to Massachusetts is to take the Bridgeport &amp; Port Jeff Ferry out of Port Jefferson, NY. The ferry is approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes long. The ferry goes into Bridgeport, CT which is approximately a 3 hour drive to Scituate, MA. You can also travel back to Long Island using the ferry which leaves out of Bridgeport, CT, where it came into from Long Island. You can either walk on the ferry or you can drive onto the ferry and take your car.

For those flying into Massachusetts, we recommend flying into Boston Logan International Airport. The drive from the airport to Scituate, MA is about 1 hour.

Travel & Places to Stay

Scituate Harbor is the town center of Scituate. This town is full of New England charm and is ideally located halfway between Boston and Cape Cod. It has several different shops, restaurants and waterfront activities. This is the perfect area to take a stroll, do some shopping and grab a bite to eat. A few of our favorite dining spots are Salt Society, Chopsticks and Forks, and T.K. O'Malleys.

Scituate Harbor 

Scituate is a beautiful waterfront town with some great beaches. This is a perfect opportunity to lay out in the sun, go for a walk in the sand or take a swim in the ocean. Some beaches in Scituate that we recommend include Minot Beach, Peggotty Beach and Humarock Beach which we visit the most frequent. Be prepared to see more smooth stones than sand at Humarock, hence its name.

If you know Colin then you know he loves to golf so we obviously had to include a golf course recommendation. Widow's Walk is an award winning 18-hole public golf course located in Scituate with beautiful ocean views.

Scituate Lighthouse is one of the most iconic landmarks in the town. This lighthouse was finished being built in 1811. It is a great place to learn some local history and take in views of the ocean.
