WEDDING LOCATION
Murcia, Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras - The undiscovered jewels of South-Eastern Spain.
Puerto Lumbreras is a small town of about 17,000ish people. The town is proudly independent from their neighbouring city Lorca and celebrates this with an independence public holiday each year.
15 minutes from Puerto Lumbreras, Lorca is a small city of approximately 100,000 people, yet it's the second largest municipality in Spain. The city is home to Lorca Castillo and Lorca Parador Hotel.
Capital city of Murcia Province. Both Lorca and Puerto Lumbreras are in Murcia province. Land of lemons, amazing food and refreshing beer. In July 1994, the Spanish Bureau of Meteorology registered in Murcia the highest ever recorded temperature in Spain, 47.2ºC.
¡Acho, pijo, Murcia is hot!
N.B.: we recognise our wedding will be in winter, and it will likely be slightly colder than Aussie winter.
