When should I plan to arrive to Mackinac Island?

We strongly encourage that people try their best to arrive on Friday due to the logistics of getting onto the island and enjoying the weekend. There will be a welcome party with food, drinks, and s'mores for everyone to enjoy!

Do you recommend staying in Mackinaw City?

No. Due to the ferry schedule (last ferry leaves 9PM), we strongly encourage that everyone stay on the island for Friday and Saturday night. If you are having trouble finding affordable lodging on the island, please reach out and we would be happy to direct your search!

What is the dress code?

Wedding Day: Formal/black-tie optional/garden party! Ladies can wear midi to floor length dresses and men can wear suit and tie of any color. Think fancy-lake-garden-party vibes and wherever that may bring you.

Welcome Party: Dressy casual or just casual if you wish!

Do I have a plus one?

We are trying our best to accommodate plus ones and kids at our wedding weekend. Plus ones should be made clear on the save the date, official invites, and RSVP; however, if you wish to know earlier, then just reach out. Kiddos will be made clear on the official invites and RSVP.

Are kids allowed at the wedding?

Yes, if your child is listed on the guest list, then they are more than welcome to enjoy the weekend with us! The guest list is not published yet, so if you need to know beforehand - just let us know!

Do I need to tell you if I am (or am not) bringing my child?

Yes. Since kids will be getting served their own plate at the wedding, please make sure to indicate whether or not you will be bringing your kiddos. This will be made possible on the official RSVP.

Are dogs allowed at the wedding?

No. While Mackinac Island is a fun place for dogs, dogs are not permitted to stay at Stonecliffe. Not to worry though because Newt has a special guest pass.

Can I change my RSVP responses?

Yes. RSVP selections can be changed up to August 12, 2026.
