Although the venue we have booked has on-site accommodations for the wedding party, it cannot fit everyone. We have booked the venue for the week of 9.20-9.27 and we encourage everyone to stay for as long as you are able to. Rental properties both within and outside of the Currituck Club development are available for those looking to enjoy a longer stay. For those who will be making a quicker turnaround, there is a Hampton Inn and Suites nearby. Please visit the travel tab for recommendations and direct links to reserve.

We can’t wait to see everyone dressed their best and our asking our guests to wear cocktail attire. We suggest men wear a well-tailored suit or a nice blazer with dress pants and a dress shirt. Ties are optional. Women should aim to wear a knee-length or midi dress, stylish jumpsuit, or an elegant skirt and blouse. Summers are warm during the day and cool at night, so we recommend a light wrap to cover bare shoulders and sunglasses for the outdoor ceremony. We also encourage bringing a more casual change of clothes for later in the evening.

The closest major airport, Norfolk International Airport, is approximately 91 miles away and is about a 2 hour drive. Outer Banks Aviation offers charter flights to the Manteo Airport, approximately 39 miles from The Black Stallion. There is limited parking on-site which will be reserved primarily for guests staying in the house. We are coordinating with the Currituck Club to reserve additional parking nearby with shuttle service to the venue.

We love our furry friends! Unfortunately, no pets are allowed to stay on-site during the week. For guests staying in the development/have other accommodations, please refer to the individual rental policies regarding pets.

The ceremony will be outdoors on the 16th hole of the Currituck Golf Club. The reception will be immediately after the ceremony at The Black Stallion and will be mostly outdoors. Indoor space will also be available during the reception. After 10pm the reception will be moved indoors in order to respect the communities designated quiet hours. In the event of rain, both the ceremony and the reception will be moved indoors.

Although we will not be hosting a traditional sit-down dinner (don't worry, there will be plenty of food!), we would like to incorporate everyone’s dietary needs and restrictions and provide a thoughtful, delicious, and enjoyable experience for everyone involved. On the RSVP there will be an option to include any and all restrictions & allergies. Please be sure to fill it out to the best of your ability. For anyone who enjoys golfing, we will be setting up several rounds of golf at the Currituck Golf Course and/or Kilmarlic. Dates and times TBD. There are no "scheduled" events outside of the wedding day, but we encourage all guests to view the 'Things to Do' tab on the website to get ideas and choose what activities you may want to try while visiting!
