Getting around Austin is easy via ride share (we don't recommend renting a car as parking can be difficult). Accommodations and major attractions will be located approximately 15-20 minutes from the airport.

Covert Park at Mount Bonnell

Walking around Town Lake is an Austin staple. Whether you walk the 3, 4, 5 or 7 mile loop, you get a beautiful view of the lake and downtown the whole time.

The Town Lake Trail

Walking around South Congress is a classic Austin pastime. There are many great coffee shops, restaurants, and retail stores. If you are looking to buy a pair of boots, try out Allen's Boots. If you want a sweet treat, try Amy's Ice Cream.

Ask for "a large Bob"! This is our favorite Tex-Mex restaurant in town. Our parents would meet us there on our drives in from Auburn and Nashville and have a frozen margarita and a large Bob waiting at the table for us. The best homecoming:)

Best authentic Mexican around! Order the queso fundido with rajas and chorizo verde.

Ryan's all time favorite breakfast taco: build your own with brisket, spicy sausage, beans, potatoes, cheese, Rudy's BBQ sauce.

Torchy's Tacos

Best BBQ inside the city limits, but the original location is in Lockhart, TX called "The Original Black's Barbecue Lockhart."

Terry Black's Barbecue

The best BBQ in Texas - voted by MA and fam. Their sausage is in the BBQ Bible by Texas Monthly, but their brisket, ribs and sauce we buy in bulk. So good!!

City Market

The Frishman's favorite Italian place downtown.

Quattro Gatti Ristorante e Pizzeria

Great for a little lake-side Mexican. Be sure to find the big bass!

Hula Hut

Best local sandwich spot. Try the California Club or the Big Paul.

If you are walking around South Congress, eat here. Classic spot with great Mexican.

Güero's Taco Bar

You'll probably recognize the El Arroyo sign. Belovedly called "The Ditch," this spot has great margaritas.
