Can I bring my children?
While we love your little ones, we’ve decided to make our wedding weekend an adults-only event. We hope this allows all of our guests to relax and fully enjoy the weekend. Thank you for your understanding, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you.
Can I bring a +1/guest?
We are deeply grateful for expansive network of humans we have in our life. One of the hardest parts of wedding planning has been not being able to open the invite up to everyone we have ever met. To keep our celebration intimate, we’re only able to accommodate those named on the invitation envelope.
Can I bring my dog?
The venue asks that we limit the number of dogs on the property. That being said, we ask that no guests bring their furry friends.
What airport should I fly into?
The nearest town to the venue is Butte, MT and they have a small airport called Bert Mooney Airport (BTM) that is roughly a 20 minute drive from Homestake Lodge. We are happy to help arrange a ride for you if you are staying at Homestake Lodge. If you are staying at the Copper King, you can call them to arrange pickup for your party.
Other nearby airports that may be cheaper, with more airline service, are in Bozeman (BZN) which is about 1 hour away and Missoula (MSO) which is about 2 hours. Because of the distance, these options will require you to rent a car.
Can I take photos?
We encourage you to fully immerse yourself in the celebration by leaving your phones in your lodging/cars and letting our professional photo and video teams do the work. We’ve also provided film cameras for you to use, once developed, will be available for all guests to download.
Is the wedding indoors or outdoors?
Our ceremony will take place outdoors, followed by a reception under a spacious pavilion. Should the weather not cooperate, we have the option to enclose the pavilion to ensure the celebration continues smoothly, rain or shine. As the big day approaches, we encourage you to keep an eye on the forecast so you’re prepared for whatever weather may come our way!
Is there parking available at the wedding?
There is plenty of parking available at the venue. Try to carpool if possible and make sure you have a designated driver available for your festivities.
What weather should I pack for?
Our wedding location is nuzzled in an elevated mountain pass, the mid-July highs average 75-85 degrees and the lows are generally in the high 40s. Be prepared for beautiful days and cooler nights, with a chance of some inclement weather (although very unlikely).
What is the dress code?
Funky Formal: Embrace the elegance of formal wear with a bold twist of color and rustic charm.
Men, think elevated textures and sharp sports jackets paired with crisp button-down shirts. Add personalized accessories like bolo ties, vibrant vests, or a cowboy hat to complete your look.
Ladies, envision flowing, colorful dresses crafted from unique fabrics in striking designs. Cowboy boots can add an extra touch of flair. This is your moment to make a statement, so don’t hesitate to incorporate funky accessories—think colorful scarves, bold hats, or statement glasses—to truly express your personal style.
A quick note: we’ll be celebrating outdoors, so be mindful of the terrain. Choose shoes that can handle grassy or rocky ground, and come ready to hit the dance floor with style and energy!

When can I spend time with the Bride and Groom?
We’ve designed the weekend to give us plenty of time to reconnect with old friends and make new ones. Be sure to check the website for updated schedules and details as the weekend approaches.
Is there Uber in Butte, Montana?
Yes! There are readily available and affordable Ubers from the airport and around downtown. Be aware there may be surge pricing due to the Folk Festival. We have also listed additional local transportation options under the transportation tab of the website.
What facilities are available to the guests staying at the Homestake Campus?
All people staying on site (camping or bunks) will have access to showers and indoor bathrooms in the Main Lodge.
For the camping folks, there will be additional portable toilets and hand wash stations in the vicinity.
There will be indoor space with electricity in the Main lodge for both the men and women staying on site to get ready the morning of the wedding.
