On July 20 2024, Salma & Shaun were introduced to each other through a mutual friend while she was living in Dubai and he was living in Scotland, on what would become the primary communications portal for their relationship: Google Meets.

Typically used for businesses to plan world domination, Salma & Shaun instead relied on Google Meets to get to know each other and see into each other's lives.

Over months and countless hours of conversations, Salma & Shaun developed a love that was beautiful and unique, with one major twist which was that they had never met each other in person.

All that changed on December 27th 2024, when Salma & Shaun met in Cairo, Egypt with a group of friends from across the world for a 11 day Egypt trip across 5 destinations.

On Day 5 of the trip, Salma was just about able to look Shaun in the eye, and on Day 9, with their feet in the Red Sea, Salma & Shaun became official; and so began the next chapter, which saw them get engaged in March '25, and now they are so excited to share their wedding day with you all in May 2026!!
