Sam and Josh met during high school and had many classes together. Josh played football while Sam ran cross country and Josh started running cross country when Sam switched back to soccer. However, they both ran indoor and outdoor track. They became friends and developed crushes on each other at different points, but nothing ever came of it.

They kept in touch after graduating high school. Josh even went up to watch one of Sam’s first track meets at Bowdoin. It wasn’t until many years later that Sam and Josh really reconnected in 2021.

Their love story started with Sam living in VT and Josh living in MA. For two years, they made their distance relationship work, making sure to see each other as much as possible. In the summer of 2023, Sam moved in with Josh.

Fast forward a year later, Josh built up the courage to ask Sam to marry him. Thankfully, she said yes, or else none of you would be reading this. We are extremely excited to celebrate with all of our loved ones and look forward to seeing everyone that can join us on our wedding day.
