We met online in May 2018 and Nick wasted no time asking Sam out on a date. Nick suggested Mrytle’s Punch House, but as Sam Google mapped her way there, she found out Myrtles is closed on Mondays. Good thing Nick’s second choice, Woodburn Brewery, was right across the street! During our first date we realized we had so much in common: our love for our dogs, travel, hiking, swimming, craft beer and so much more.

In our first few months together, we had to squeeze in as much time together between Sam's work trips and vacations which kept her out of Cincinnati more than she was here. But we learned that the saying is true… distance makes the heart grow fonder.

We have been lucky enough to go on a few amazing big vacations together, plus many other smaller weekend trips and adventures. Our favorites include our trip to Washington State where we were able to hike in 3 National Parks, trek to the top of Mount St. Helens, kayak off the coast of San Juan Island, and take a food tour of Pike Place Market; our Hawaiian Christmas vacation with Sam’s parents and brother, Matt, filled with beautiful hikes, great food, and days near the ocean; and our most recent trip to Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Park where we got to camp under the stars.

During COVID lock-downs, we have enjoyed getting to spend quality time together at home with our dogs, Willie and Howie, taking walks around the local parks, and cooking delicious meals together.

We are looking forward to a lifetime of adventures together and would be honored if you would join us in celebrating the beginning of our next chapter together!
