Flying in:
If you're flying, we suggest flying into the Oakland International Airport (OAK). The San Francisco airport (SFO) is also a great option, but will be more of a drive into Berkeley.
Getting around:
If you're from out of town, we suggest purchasing a Clipper Card to take buses and BART. BART can take you to Berkeley from both the Oakland International Airport and SFO, and to San Francisco and surrounding Bay Area cities. Clipper Card also works on the ferry, which can take you to/from Vallejo, Richmond, Oakland, and San Francisco.
Feel free to rent a car or, better yet, a bike! Beware of hills (unless you're into that sort of thing).
Driving to the venue:
From Highway 80:
Take University Avenue exit in Berkeley.
Follow University up (east) to Oxford.
Left on Oxford to Rose.
Right on Rose to Spruce.
Left on Spruce on the top of the hill, cross the intersection, and Spruce becomes Wildcat Canyon Road.
Continue for two miles and the Brazilian Room will be on your left.
From Highway 24:
At east end of Caldecott Tunnel, exit Fish Ranch Road up to Grizzly Peak Boulevard.
Turn right and continue to Golf Course Road.
Right again and continue to stop sign.
Right on Shasta Road.
Shasta dead-ends into Brazilian Room parking lot.
Public Transportation:
The 65 bus will take you to Grizzly Peak and Stevenson Ave., about a 16 minute walk from the venue.
The Brazilian Room has an adjacent parking lot with 36 spots (including 2 ADA), and there are an additional 36 spots on Wildcat Canyon Road along with overflow parking on the curb of Anza View Road below. Parking is free year-round. Because parking is limited, we strongly recommend carpooling! You can also request rideshares if you aren't planning on driving. Please contact Sam or Ben if you require accommodations or need mobility assistance - we got you.
While we don't have a hotel block, here are some recommendations for places to stay.
What about AirBnB?
AirBnBs are plentiful throughout the Bay Area! For proximity to the venue + other fun things in the East Bay, we recommend staying in the following cities: Berkeley, Walnut Creek, Oakland, Albany, El Cerrito, or San Leandro. San Francisco and/or Napa also make great bases for your travel adventure, but Napa especially will be a little far from the venue. Feel free to reach out to Sam or Ben with any questions about where to stay - we can give additional recommendations!
