Lancaster City has a ton to offer in terms of boutique and eclectic shopping, local art, restaurants and bars! Outside of being the home of the couple, Lancaster has plenty to offer for a weekend stay both in and around the city
If you're looking to spend time shopping, Lancaster offers a wide variety of small, locally owned shops throughout Downtown Lancaster, with some of their most notable shopfronts on the 300 block of North Queen and the longest continually running Farmer's Market in America located in the Central Market at Penn Square. The couple personally recommends Building Character and its sister store Mad Cap & Co. which house plenty of eclectic gifts and handmade crafts. They also recommend stopping by Central Market in the morning, and stopping by Farbo to browse an extensive collection of board games!
If you're interested in artwork, stop by 100 block of North Prince Street, commonly referred to as Gallery Row to see plenty of local artists, and a collection of small shops and cafes in case you get hungry! Lancaster is also home to the Demuth Art Museum, which is a 'pay-what-you-want' museum that houses Charles Demuth's private collection in his family home as well as selections from local artists.
