We can't wait to celebrate our special day with everyone in just a few days! Please text Avery if you have any last-minute questions (509.770.3523).
We can't wait to share the city we love with our favorite people! We know that many of our guests will be traveling from out of town, so we've provided a list of our most recommended things to do and places to go around the area (+ some photos of us enjoying it all too!)
Another great resource is the Visit KC website. It is the perfect place to discover all things KC! Here are a few shortcuts to pages you might find helpful:
This is our favorite museum in KC! We highly recommend taking the time to see one of the exhibits on rotation or just walking around the beautiful building. Admission to the main part of the museum is free. (Fun fact: Our engagement photos were taken here!)
Single-game tickets for 2025 will go on sale around June. We're not sure if there will be one scheduled for the Sunday after our wedding, but if there is, we highly recommend trying to attend a game at Arrowhead!
If you have the time, the National WWI Museum is definitely worth checking out. It offers an impressive collection of exhibits and artifacts that provide a deep, insightful look into the history and lasting impact of World War I. It overlooks the cityscape and is very close to Union Station & Crown Center.
Single-game tickets for 2025 will go on sale this winter. We're not sure if there will be one scheduled for the weekend of our wedding, but if there is, we highly recommend trying to attend a game at CPKC Stadium- it's the first stadium in the world purpose-built for a professional women's sports team
J. Rieger & Co. was the largest mail-order whiskey house in the US before the onset of federal Prohibition in 1920. They're proudly back in KC as the first distillery in nearly a century. They serve food & drink in different locations on-site and also offer tours & tastings of the facility.
Reason #1 to visit: The external walls of the parking garage are painted to resemble giant books! Reason #2: This location used to be an old bank, and the basement movie theater is in a giant vault! Reason #3: It's an easy stop off the streetcar on your way to the Rivermarket & the beautiful building is worth your time!
This course was originally built as the longest golf course in the world at 8,101 yards, but now plays a bit shorter with yardages ranging from 5,200 yards to as long as 7,200 yards for a more appealing round. It's a highly recommended course by many locals. If you'd like other golf course recs, feel free to reach out to Sam!
This iconic spot is a restored historical landmark, offering a blend of beautiful architecture and a range of attractions. It's a main streetcar stop and also connects directly to the Crown Center Mall. If you want to see classic KC, you should check out Union Station!
Curious about the 110+ year history of Hallmark? Stop by the Visitor's Center to see interactive displays and cool exhibits that will give you a glimpse into the rich history and creative spirit of Hallmark. No surprise here, but this activity comes highly recommended by Avery (PS: it's free!)
Crown Center has shops, dining, & several attractions. It connects directly to Union Station through the 'Link' and is also right next to Hallmark HQ & the Hallmark Visitor's Center. It's a perfect spot to explore if you have time to spare, with plenty of fun things to do and see nearby.
All are located along the *free* streetcar line and have a variety of cool places to eat, drink, and hang out.
