Whether you’re looking for outdoor adventures, scenic drives, or charming mountain towns to explore, there’s something for everyone in Ridgway and beyond! This is such an incredible area to visit, and if you have the opportunity, we definitely recommend making a trip out of it!
Ouray is one of our favorite places, a charming old mining town with historic buildings, fun shops, and stunning mountain scenery.
Explore quaint shops, cozy cafés, and even an Alchemist Museum with unique history. Ouray brewery is a great spot to grab a drink with a rooftop patio and mountain views.
A natural hot springs pool with mountain views (we haven’t been, but we’ve heard great things!).
A short but incredible walk leading to a powerful waterfall inside a narrow canyon.
A scenic 6-mile loop around town with incredible views and multiple waterfall stops.
A guided climbing experience along cliffs with metal rungs and cables (great for adventure seekers!).
A short and easy walk leading to a beautiful waterfall right near downtown Ouray.
Telluride is where our love story has been the talk of many times! It’s a little farther out, about an hour from the town of Ridgway, but we highly recommend visiting this gorgeous mountain town.
The Telluride gondola is a free, scenic ride connecting Telluride and Mountain Village. It offers stunning mountain views and provides easy access for locals and visitors alike.
Downtown Telluride is a charming historic district nestled in the San Juan Mountains, known for its well-preserved Victorian architecture and vibrant cultural scene. The main thoroughfare, Colorado Avenue, features a mix of boutique shops, art galleries, and restaurants, reflecting the town’s mining heritage.
A more upscale area with luxury hotels, restaurants, and beautiful walking areas.
• Bridal Veil Falls – A beautiful hike leading to Colorado’s tallest waterfall.
• Blue Lakes Trail – A stunning alpine hike leading to turquoise-blue lakes.
• Bear Creek Falls – A moderate trail with a waterfall reward at the end.
