Little River Inn is an upscale accommodation along Highway 1 which boasts impressive views of the ocean, a fabulous on-site restaurant, and a 9 hole golf course. Conveniently located just 5 miles from Mendocino Village and Big River Beach, Little River Inn makes for a great stay along the Mendocino coastline. The Cottages at Little River Cove are a beautiful and laid-back option for anyone that wants to feel at home along the coast. Set on two acres and DOG FRIENDLY (up to two dogs per unit), these cottages vary in size and accommodation. All of the cottages include kitchens, and private patios with fire pits so you can sit out and watch the sunset. The Cottages at Little River Cove are also conveniently located just 5 miles from the village of Mendocino and right next to Van Damme State Park. These accommodations come highly recommended for anyone traveling with pets (they have dog day care available as well). Avg. nightly cost: $220-300 a night depending on size of cottage.

Enjoy the redwood forests, ocean views, and outdoor fire pits of your dreams while still sleeping in queen-sized, heated beds, and a place to charge your phones. This place is DOG FRIENDLY, offers morning yoga, a phenomenal masseuse (Jessica Carol), and even a dog park for your pup to socialize in. We are so in love with this space. We highly recommend Mendo Grove for your stay. Avg. nightly cost: $180-210

This beautiful and wonderfully located Inn is nestled on one of our favorite spots in the area: Big River Beach. Enjoy beautiful rooms, 5-star meals from their vegan/vegetarian restaurant, canoe rentals, and beautiful gardens. This Inn is on the higher end of places to stay in the area. It is DOG FRIENDLY and located just outside of Mendocino Village. Avg nightly cost: $450-500 dollars a night.

Looking to ensure you won't have to stay in a hotel with mere peasants? Then this is the spot for you! This Inn is award winning, breathtaking, boasts an impressive 700+ dvd collection, and ensures individualized concierge support from the moment you book up through your stay. Avg. nightly cost: $495-700.

If you are looking for a fun, casual, DOG FRIENDLY spot right on the headlands then this is for you. This is, admittedly, one of the best locations to stay in terms of ocean front access, free bike rentals, dog friendly rooms, and really chill patio hangouts to watch the sunset. We cannot recommend this location enough. Really, it's just an awesome spot. Avg. nightly price: $190-275.

This hotel boasts our favorite spot for brunch, happy hour drinks, and river views. This beautiful craftsman style Inn is one of Fort Bragg's best. We highly recommend this location and definitely cannot recommend the food and drinks here enough. This place is also DOG FRIENDLY. Avg. nightly cost: $275-375.

This spot is one of our more affordable hotels that boasts a putt-putt golf course! You can even drink on the course! (If that's something you are into). Rooms are typical of what you would expect with a mid-range hotel. DOG FRIENDLY. Avg. nightly cost: $125-175.

If you are looking to camp the old fashioned way (tent or RV) this is the spot for you. Located right at Caspar beach, you can enjoy seclusion, hookups, great showers, and an easy walk to the beach. On weekends they even have live bands! This spot is DOG FRIENDLY and all around a great time. Rob and honestly loved camping here because the sites feel very secluded and private. They even have some rental cabins! In terms of saving money and having a great time, this is fantastic spot to stay. Just know they will fill up fast for this weekend. Avg nightly cost: $50 for tent, $60 for hookups/rv, and $110 for cabin (sleeps 4).

Looking to come as a group? This is honestly the best and cheapest option. If you follow this link, this house is available, DOG FRIENDLY, has sweeping ocean views, and a HOT TUB! Located near MacKerricher SP, this home is an absolute steal. If 8 people stay the cost per person for 3 nights is $350 (best deal in town if you want to stay all weekend!). We HIGHLY suggest snagging this spot before it's gone.
