Samantha and David met in 2012 on the first day of orientation at Duquesne University School of Law. They joined the same study group, and they began dating during the Spring semester of their 1L year. They endured three grueling years of law school together, graduating in 2015. As a reward for their efforts before taking the Bar Exam, Samantha and David traveled to Las Vegas to celebrate. During that time, a trip to Valley of Fire State Park sparked a new love of the desert. Since that time, Samantha and David have traveled to many different states and parks in the West, including many more trips to Nevada. They have also traveled together to California, Montana, Idaho, Wyoming, and New Mexico.

One particular park has captured their love - Death Valley National Park. In fact, this park is where David proposed while hiking Striped Butte in a remote portion of the park. Samantha and David hope to continue their Western hiking and exploring adventures in their new life together!
