Samantha and David visit the Mojave National Preserve in California for the first time. They stopped on their drive from Las Vegas to Los Angeles. Fun fact - David now owns property in the Preserve!

Samantha and David first visited Death Valley National Park in 2017. The Penguins actually won the Stanley Cup while they were on vacation there!

Another year, another trip to Death Valley! This trip included a windy hike into a crater.

Samantha and David visited their beloved Las Vegas area again, and they survived a trip to the forbidden Area 51. David also rented a Convertible for a day, but it was very hot in the desert!

The Covid-19 pandemic didn’t stop Samantha and David from traveling. They went to wild and wonderful West Virginia for a week of hiking in the Canaan Valley.

In 2021, Samantha and David enjoyed a great trip across the Loneliest Road in the United States, located in the middle of Nevada. They also visited a new (to them!) national park - Great Basin.

Picture of Striped Butte, located in Butte Valley, Death Valley National Park. David and Samantha first visited here in April 2022, as it is located in a very remote part of the park. A year later, David proposed here while on a hike to the top!

Samantha and David’s next trip to Nevada included a stop in Jarbidge - considered to be the most remote town in the Lower 48. They traveled on almost 50 miles on dirt road to visit this small mountain town, with a year-round population of about 20 people.

This trip to Death Valley was certainly the most memorable! David proposed to Samantha while they were hiking Striped Butte. It was in a location so remote, the only witnesses to the proposal were wild burros.
