Our Wedding

As many love stories start in the post-pandemic world, Sam and Kevin met on Hinge in July 2021. They both moved to Denver looking for new adventures in the Mile High City. After many failed first dates, they quickly connected over their love of concerts, dogs, hiking and Philly/Midwest accents. After closing down two bars on their first date, they realized that this was a different kind of connection. They quickly planned more dates including their first concert together at Red Rocks. Kevin loved Sam's ability to ask probing questions and Sam got lost in Kevin's dreamy blue eyes. After many firsts together they decided to move in together in May 2022. That led to many adjustments, like Kevin keeping the apartment more tidy and Sam understanding Kevin's particularities of loading the dishwasher and not dripping water all over the bathroom floor. After living together for a few months, they decided it was time for a new addition to their lives, a nibbly puppy named Wellington. He tested their patience and provided further proof of their compatibility. On a summer trip to Michigan, Kevin got Sam's parents' approval to propose to Sam during their upcoming trip to Portugal. This led to many months of planning the actual event. After a fun day of exploring the city of Porto, Kevin finally convinced a worn out Sam to get dressed up without ruining the surprise (with significant help from their friend Alyssa). Since their engagement, the happy couple has had countless trips, concerts and events together which helped their love grow stronger. Sam and Kevin have built a wonderful life together and can't wait to celebrate with everyone on their return trip to Portugal for their wedding.

We have hotel rooms reserved for the night prior to our wedding and the night of our wedding. A continental breakfast is provided each morning. (2) that it's found on countless lists of the world's most beautiful bookstores. There is usually a long line so you may want to reserve a ticket and get there early!

This bridge spans the Douro River and connects Porto to Vila Nova de Gaia. It is pedestrian accessible and offers a view of the Cais da Ribeira, a riverfront promenade and marketplace.
