Q + A

WHAT IS SEMI-FORMAL ATTIRE?

Semi Formal attire is an elevated dress code that’s not overly fancy. It’s a more chic version of business or dressy casual. Semi-formal attire includes the women in nice and classy dresses, while not having to go out and buy a brand new formal dress. Heels can be used to spruce up a cocktail dress or a nice pantsuit with some jewelry! For the men, a clean pair of dress slacks with a button-up is acceptable. Our venue does not have air conditioning, so please dress accordingly. Here is a wonderful website if you have any more questions on the attire: https://bridebox.com/blog/semi-formal-wedding-attire/

Where can I park?

Parking will be in a grass field to the east side of the barn. There will be signs to help guide you to the right spot. Governor's Pavilion will be providing a golf cart and attendant to assist with transporting guests to and from the barn.

CAN I TAKE PICTURES OF THE HANDSOME GROOM AND BEAUTIFUL BRIDE DURING THE CEREMONY?

Nope. We mean, please refrain from being on any type of device during the ceremony. We have hired an outstanding photographer named Anne to capture the sweet and short moments that will be happening during our ceremony. All pictures taken by Anne will be accessible within 6-8 weeks after the wedding and we would love to share them with you. Just contact either the bride or groom after that time and we will be happy to disperse of them. With that being said, feel free to capture any moments on your personal device as you would like during the reception and the time to follow!

CAN I BRING A PLUS ONE?

Those 18 years or older as of August 1, 2024 are free to bring a plus one. The option to add a guest will be given when you RSVP.

Will there be alcohol?

Of course, do you know us?! We will be serving beer and wine. Please do not bring your own alcohol to the venue. You will need to present a valid ID to be served.

ARE CHILDREN ALLOWED?

Yes, but please be considerate. We are more than happy for your little ones to join in the celebration taking place, however, we ask that if your child becomes upset at ANY point during the ceremony, speeches, first dances, announcements, or prayers, that you excuse yourself and the child.

Is Governor's Pavilion an active farm?

Yes, it is an active cattle farm. Please be aware that electric fences are in use around the property. Other farming scents may be lingering in the air as well.
