There are several locations, mostly on the north side of Austin. Our favorites are their breakfast sandwich and the Trifecta. And you have to try their Million Dollar Bacon!
There are 2 locations in Austin and you can get added to the waitlist online ahead of time. We recommend their chicken and waffles or their shrimp and grits. Also pick up some beignets for breakfast dessert!
A new favorite breakfast place! It's walk-ins only and can get super busy on the weekends, but their breakfast tacos and pancakes are so good!
Snooze is a super fun retro chain. For any indecisive folks, they offer a pancake flight so you don't have to choose just one. They also have incredible coffees and teas.
I think this was the first local place we tried when we first moved to Austin! Absolutely incredible ramen with big, Texas-sized portions. The Mi-So-Hot and The OG are our go-tos.
If you haven't had enough BBQ yet, Terry Black's is the place to go! The food is served in a cafeteria style, but it's far superior to cafeteria food. The food here can add up in price fairly quickly, but holy cow is their beef rib amazing! (pun intended)
The Grove has several locations, but our favorite is the one in Lakeway. It has a gorgeous view of the country side, great food, and a gigantic wine list.
Congress Avenue Bridge shelters the largest urban bat colony in North America. Between 750,000 and 1.5 million bats fly out near dusk. We recommend watching from the grassy area below the bridge near the address we have listed and bringing a blanket or chairs to sit on.
You probably won't learn a lot about the history of ice cream. Heck, you probably won't learn a lot of anything here! But you do get unlimited free ice cream included in your ticket price and there are lots of fun photo ops.
The Barton Creek Greenbelt is massive, with lots of great smaller trails to hike in between. We personally love the Twin Falls & Sculpture Falls sections of the Greenbelt (even though the Falls part is pretty dependent on recent rainfall).
We always take visitors to the Wildflower Center! The landscape is super gorgeous and you can also learn a lot of history about Lady Bird Johnson. We recommend the breakfast tacos at the cafe. Also, don't let the rattlesnake signs scare you - we assure you that you'll still have a great time!
