Despite living in Florida, somehow a boy and a girl from New Jersey managed to cross paths just after moving to the area. The first time they met was at 3 Daughters Brewery in St. Petersburg, where Sam had Bradley play the board game Sorry with her, a favorite game of hers that she grew up playing often with her grandpa. Anyone who has known Bradley for long enough won’t be shocked to know that the beginning of the relationship was built on puns – the two would exchange quips, trying to outdo each other with more and more elaborate word play. Of course, kindness and communication were important factors in growing their relationship as well. After a date at the Bishop Museum in Bradenton, and buying Sam a plush rainbow manatee, Bradley asked her to be his girlfriend. Sam was excited that the boy she had been growing to like would be sticking around, and that there would be lots more fun adventures to have together. Though many people might think the couple’s first Valentine’s Day was rocky, Sam feels just the opposite. Due to a miscommunication with a nice restaurant, there were no reservations on file for them, and they had to spend the holiday at a Chinese buffet. Sam was more than happy with this choice, however. Don’t worry, the next year, Bradley made sure to have reservations confirmed at a nicer restaurant months ahead of time. Throughout their relationship, Bradley has pushed Sam out of her comfort zone in the best ways possible. She has met so many people, made new friends, tried new foods, been to new places, seen more movies and TV she didn’t think she would like, and she has even given EDM music a try and been to a few shows and festivals. She is thankful that Bradley can be her rock that she can depend on to help her feel comfortable trying new things. Bradley in turn has experienced her love of animals, Chinese food, and celebrated multiple Hannukahs with her family in Naples. She has yet to subject him to a trip to Gainesville, but fair is fair and after multiple FSU trips, his UF visit is coming soon. Thanks to FSU football, Sam was able to fulfill her dream of traveling to Ireland. Bradley had ideas of how to make the trip more unforgettable than Sam could even imagine. Early one morning, after hiking out to the very edge of the Cliffs of Moher, Bradley proposed. Thankfully, the rain held off until after he gave her the ring! The ring is special not only as a sign of love from Bradley to Sam, but the center diamond was gifted to be used for the ring by her mother. The couple is now settled together in south St. Petersburg with their cat Livy and a new addition of Franklin the dog. They are looking forward to moving into their new house in Palmetto, Florida come October. Together, they have weathered job changes, several major hurricanes, the losses of loved ones, and boat ownership (if you know, you know) and they know they will always have each other to depend on and love no matter what life throws their way. They are anxiously awaiting their wedding day, and they cannot wait to share this special day with their friends and family!

The new room block is finally available! This hotel shares a parking lot with the Embassy Suites below. The website button should take you to a booking page where king bed studio suites are $210 a night and king bed 1 bedroom suites are $225 a night. If the block sells out or you do not see those rates, please let us know and we can reach out to the hotel for more rooms (pending availability).

Homewood Suites by Hilton Tampa-Brandon

Sam and Bradley will be staying here! The group rate has sold out, but the hotel still has some rooms at their standard nightly rate. We have set up a new block at the Homewood Suites next door with discounted rates!

Embassy Suites by Hilton Tampa Brandon

We also have a room block set up for anyone wanting to stay at a Marriott brand hotel. The website link below will take you to the hotel reservation page and automatically apply the group code (DPWDPWB). A king studio or a queen suite is $212 a night, and a 2 bedroom king &amp; queen suite is $312 a night. Please let us know if any of these options are unavailable and we can call to add more (pending availability). The block will be available for booking until December 30.
