Jake and Sam's love story began in the summer of 2013, when they first met with the help of his friends and her brother. At the time, Sam was going into her junior year of high school and Jake was going into his senior year. Their bond grew from a simple friendship to something much more profound, and by October 1st, 2013, they made it official, starting a relationship that would become an everlasting part of their journey.

As Sam moved on to college in 2015, they faced the challenges of being in different places. Despite the distance, they made it a priority to spend most weekends together, keeping their relationship solid and full of love. In 2019, Sam embarked on a new chapter by attending veterinary school in Mississippi. For the first time, they faced true long-distance, but they made it work.

Throughout the years, Jake and Sam never lost sight of their future. They often talked about their dreams, plans, and the life they would build together. The idea of their "one day" was always present, and they held onto that promise.

In 2020, Jake bought their first house, and like the handyman he is, has been working hard to fix it up ever since. After Sam graduated vet school in 2023, they finally were able to move in together which has been everything they could have hoped for and more. They have turned their house into a home, especially with the help of their three dogs, Stanley, Mia, and Mylo, and their cat Hazel, who have all added extra love and laughter to their lives.

On June 15th, 2024, Jake made their journey even more unforgettable by planning a grand proposal in Philadelphia, surrounded by their closest friends and family. It was a beautiful celebration of their love, their commitment, and the future they had always dreamed of. Sam happily said yes, knowing that this was the beginning of a new chapter in their incredible love story, one that was destined to last a lifetime.
