We met when we were 18 - two young dancers chasing the same dream of becoming professional ballet dancers. Our first meeting was at an audition for Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, where we were both nervous, focused, and entirely unaware of how significant that moment would become. In those early years, we were just two names on each other's radar, occasionally crossing paths, always cheering each other on from afar. Over time, our connection deepened. We stayed in touch through the ups and downs of our careers, sending job leads, words of encouragement, and the occasional "you've got this" before a big performance or audition. There was always mutual respect, always a quiet kindness between us - but nothing more than friendship. When the world shut down during the pandemic, so did the reliability of freelance dance life. Samantha was still dancing full-time with her ballet company, while Jonathon was navigating the uncertainties of gigs. Samantha suggested he audition for her company, and before long we found ourselves not just in the same city but in the same apartment complex, rehearsal studio, and barre every day. Sharing a stage brought a new spark - what had been an easy friendship blossomed into something richer and undeniably romantic. For three wonderful years we danced side-by-side, trading long rehearsals, curtain calls, and late-night takeout for quiet moments backstage and big dreams for the future. Then in April 2023, life pivoted: the ballet season ended and Samantha decided to follow a lifelong fascination with flight. She decided to join a flight school, while Jonathon accepted a contract with a ballet company clear across the country. We got engaged on a sugar-sand beach in Destin, Florida, on July 21st, 2023 - promising to conquer two years of long distance: Samantha would finish flight training and build experience, and Jonathon would keep dancing and cheering her on from afar. But distance proved overrated. Barely a month into it, Jonathon traded his dancing shoes for a one-way ticket, quit his contract, and moved to be with Samantha. While she juggled check rides and cockpit checklists, he dove into new passions - earning his real estate license and teaching ballet to children with a mission to make dance fun and life-affirming, not pressure-packed. Samantha earned her wings in July 2024, flight-instructed until April 2025, and then accepted a Medevac pilot position in Atlanta, Georgia. True to form, Jonathon packed up once more and went with her, ready for the next adventure. Now we are trading ballet slippers for wedding shoes (at least for a day!), and we can't wait to celebrate this next chapter with you - one that started with a pas de deux under the stage lights and has soared all the way to the clouds.

The easiest airport to fly into is Harrisburg International Airport (MDT) - just about 15 minutes from our hotel and 20 minutes from our venue. However, it can be more expensive to fly into than nearby options. For potentially cheaper flights, consider:- Baltimore/Washington International (BWI) - About a 1.5 hour scenic drive to Harrisburg, PA. Renting a car would be recommended- Philadelphia International (PHL) - Also a good option, but plan for a short bus/uber ride to the train station, and a ~$30 Amtrak ticket to Harrisburg's train station, which is a 20 minute drive to our hotel. Our wedding colors are pink and red, with pink leading the way, so we’d love to see those hues featured in your outfit, whether subtly or boldly.We’re aiming for something a touch more elevated than cocktail attire, but we’re not requiring floor length gowns or tuxedos. Picture garden party glam with a hint of drama, like you’re dressed for a champagne-filled afternoon that might end with dancing barefoot through a mansion. Think flowy dresses, sharp suits, tailored separates, bold colors, and statement accessories.Tuxedos and gowns are absolutely welcome, but not required.
