Our story began in the place we live now: Washington, D.C.

We were lucky enough to spend a semester there through Miami University's Inside Washington program. We got to know each other through our group as friends first. But, when Sam realized Ben's good looks and charm, and Ben realized Sam's humor and beauty, we recognized the chemistry we had and quickly fell for each other.

Our first conversation was about our agreement that skim milk is the best type of milk, and after that moment everything changed (we know we're weird; let us drink our carb water in peace).

Since then, we've graduated college, survived a long distance stretch during the height of COVID-19, moved to Washington, D.C., together, and adopted our little fur babies, Lily and Sterling.

We can describe our relationship no other way than truly finding our soulmates. We have never laughed harder, watched more stupid TikToks, or had better times with anyone else.

Finally, on July 9th, 2023, after months of subtle hints (and much anxiety from Sam), Ben got down on one knee. Getting engaged was the easiest decision either of us had ever made.

We're so excited for this next chapter of our lives and are thrilled we get to share our special day with the people we care about most!
