Dave and Sam met while living in Washington D.C. Dave had been living there for several years and Sam had moved down to D.C after her year abroad. Both were busy singles juggling work and life, and as most twenty-somethings do, matched on a dating app. Sam has a passion for Oreos and said so in her profile. Dave messages Sam at 2:30am sharing a story of how he, as a child, decided to eat a ton of Oreo filling that he had previously frozen into a ball, and subsequently projectile vomited. Sam messaged him the morning after with the words "marry me".

They set their first date shortly after. meeting at Espita, a mezcaleria, in December of 2019. Sam strutted through the door in a lime green top, black skirt and thigh high boots, to see Dave in a navy blue jacket, dark jeans, cowboy boots and his half smile that continues to melt her heart today.

Their relationship began 4 months before the pandemic, and accelerated because of it. Dave and Sam moved in together shortly after meeting and pride themselves on being a "Covid Couple" that stuck together. They are excited to celebrate their biggest day with you all!
