On the morning of October 23, 2021, Sam and Jake woke up for the very last time without knowing their soulmates.

It was a crisp fall day, and Sam was getting ready to celebrate her 26th birthday with all of her friends. As she was putting on her makeup, she received a phone call from one of her best friends, Ashley.

"Hey! Is it ok if my boyfriend brings one of his friends to your birthday party? It would be nice for him to have a friend there - and I honestly think you two would really hit it off."

And the rest was history.

Jake showed up to Sam's Halloween themed birthday party without a costume - he just showed up as "himself" - and that's all she ever needed him to be.

He then took it upon himself to show up as Sam's date to brunch the very next day after knowing her for just six hours! Sitting at the table, they looked each other in the eyes as the sun sparkled on their faces, and they knew this love story was just at the beginning, and that it would last forever.
