Samantha and Michael likely crossed paths at some point in their high school swimming careers; after all, the Indiana high school swimming community is only so big. But it was not until winter 2020 that Samantha and Michael connected via the dating app Hinge. Once Samantha and Michael made the swimming connection, they both felt a comfort of familiarity, thinking "I know what swimmers are like." When Samantha and Michael had their first date together at Sun King in Carmel, IN, it felt like spending time with old friends or teammates.

However, as they spent more and more time together, both realized that they had not met someone like this before.

As time continued and their relationship grew, Samantha and Michael continue to confirm to one another that they had found a partner on whom each could rely. They became great travel partners; Samantha is now willing to arrive early to the airport for Michael, provided Michael is willing to get Starbucks at the airport for Samantha (he always is). They became great party host partners, creating new traditions together through the Christmas Sing, the Carmel Supper Club, and finding ways to celebrate every holiday on the calendar. They became great life partners, buying a house together and working through all the stresses that come with improving that house together, always as a team.

As we cement our partnership together on our wedding day, we are incredibly thankful to our friends and family members who have supported us along the way. Our partnership would not be complete without each and every one of you there with us as we begin this next journey together.
