Nearly seven years ago Jessica Raque, a mutual friend of Wes' and Sam's, sent Sam a message on facebook about a guy named Wes Soutar and all of his wonderful qualities; it was basically an ad to date him. Despite Sam's hesitation she agreed to give Wes her number. As many of you have probably experienced it is sometimes difficult to interpret what someone means via text messaging, this made for an interesting start between Sam and Wes. She did not quite get his sense of humor and did not know what she really thought of him, while Wes, on the other hand, thought their early days of chatting was very entertaining and repeatedly tried to get Sam to meet him in person. After about a month she finally gave in and met Wes (and Jessica) at a White Trash Bash! Sam remembers being completely caught off guard by his good looks..."I can work with this," she thought. They spent nearly every day together for the following weeks and before long they were dating exclusively. Fast forward to the week before their six year anniversary and they are boarding a 6 a.m. flight to Cozumel for vacation - and there in the Louisville International Airport while final boarding calls are being made, Wes bends on one knee and pops the question! Now it's time to write their next chapter...
