Sneakers are a must when traveling here. The roads in the main town are cobblestone and make for uneasy walking.

The summer is hot. Light clothing is best to stay comfortable. Ladies, sun dresses and looser clothing will be most comfortable. It is a beach/marine town so plan for the beach during the day!

The wedding venue has a lot of grass. Women would be best to not wear stiletto heels.

You will need an adapter to convert your plugs for the European outlets. Check Amazon, there are many. Getting the better ones is more likely you won't mess with any of your electronics.

For health nuts, there is a great juice bar called Zagara located in the town. They also make fresh "spiked" juices. My favorite is lemon granita, gin, and fresh juiced fennel!

There is a stop-and-go to grab a spritz and walk the streets on Via Gioeni. They are amazing and only FOUR EURO!

When you purchase food or drink (non sit down) it is expected that you pay first, take the receipt, and show proof of payment at the counter.

When paying for any service the person will always say Prego first (your welcome) and you are expected to say Grazie (thank you).

When you order pizza, it's not cut. They provide a fork and knife for your to cut your own slices.

You can order a cappuccino after 11am but, they will confirm that you are an American tourist as the italians only drink milk for colazione (breakfast).

If Gaetano hears you order pasta with "gravy" he will kindly escort you back to the airport himself.

Foods you must try:

Arancini, Panelle, PISTACHIO EVERYTHING

Oh and yes, you can eat dessert for breakfast. Cornetto filled with marmalade or different crema's are the most popular, but granita is a summer staple.

Yes, it is necessary to eat gelato every day.
