Sami and Dalton met in high school when Sami was a freshman and Dalton was a senior. They were just friends at the time but would hang out in the same friend group.

April 2015, things started to become more than friends and it all started with a snapchat Sami sent to Dalton. They spent the summer together as a fling but went their separate ways September of 2015.

September 2016, we believe that fate brought Sami and Dalton back together. They always knew there was something special within their relationship. Then, Dalton asked Sami to be his girlfriend on November 5th, 2016.

Sami got into Illinois State University while Dalton stayed in Decatur to work at the water plant. They would travel back and forth from Bloomington and Decatur to see one another while Sami was in college.

Dalton and Sami had always talked about living in the Carolina's in the early stages of their relationship. They knew they wanted to get out of Illinois. Sami had to get an internship to graduate college and the only one she received a call back from was one in North Carolina. They were going to decide if the Carolina's were the place for them while Sami did her internship and Dalton stayed in Decatur.

They started long distance and only saw each other once a month when Dalton would fly to North Carolina. While Sami did her internship, Dalton started applying to jobs around the Charlotte, NC area. After months of FaceTime dates, Dalton received a job offer in Rock Hill, SC (right on the border of North and South Carolina). They knew this was the place they are supposed to be.

October of 2019, they moved their whole lives down to South Carolina and got their first apartment together. It wasn't the easiest leaving family and friends but, that's what flights and facetimes are for, right?!

During the crazy pandemic, Dalton and Sami welcomed their first fur baby to the family. Charlie, a golden doodle, became the best addition!

Dalton and Sami took a big step and moved into their first home. They have nearly renovated the whole inside and backyard.

Their doberman, Lucy, joined the family and made it complete. Charlie gained a best friend and sister.

September 10th, 2022 Dalton proposed at their favorite beach, Isle of Palms. It was initially supposed to be Sami's birthday present but she got an even better surprise. Dalton had Sami's great grandma's ring hidden in their closet for 3 months until he popped the question. They have always been in love with Charleston, Isle of Palms, and Mount Pleasant. So, that same weekend they found the most perfect venue, under the oak trees, in Mount Pleasant, SC. Soon after the proposal they celebrated their 6 year dating anniversary!
