Transportation:

Like most metro areas the Bay Area suffers from too much traffic. Fortunately it also has some of the best public transportation in the nation. Bart (bart.gov) from SFO or OAK airports is an excellent way to get to the north bay with a short UBER ride to the Hampton Inn or other accommodation. As of October, 2023 the entire legacy fleet of BART cars have been replaced by new and improved cars: better security, cleaner, shorter trains and smaller wait times.

We reccomend the Yellow Line to Concord: $7.34 and Uber from there to your hotel.

SF BAY FERRY: vallejoferryschedule.com By far the best and most aesthetic way to get from Vallejo to San Francisco! The ferry leaves the Vallejo Marino and, in an hour, docks at the San Francisco Ferry building. From there one can walk, take BART, the Metro or UBER to anywhere in the city.

CLIPPER CARD: www.clippercard.com Most of the Bay Area’s public transportation (BART, The Bay Area Ferry, Soltrans) utilizes the Clipper Card. Easily purchased it makes things very simple. We recommend purchasing enough fare to cover your entire stay coming and going. You can calculate how much you will need by visiting the BART and SF BAY FERRY web sites.
