"It's like we both went to the grocery store wanting to find ingredients to make some really great chocolate chip cookies. As we walked up and down the aisles recipe in hand, we stumbled across new ingredients not found on our list. We almost put them back on the shelf, but as we looked closer at the ingredients and the recipe we began to see that not only could these ingredients be mixed, but they were incredible together. The more we stirred the bowl, the more the contrasting aromas and flavors began to blend and permeate throughout the house.
While there may have been some hesitation, maybe a little bit of fear initially that the recipe wouldn't turn out... we both slowly, after shopping, and baking, and trying different recipes, started to trust these newly found ingredients, until ultimately we figured out, that maybe, just maybe, the unexpected and the unplanned made the PERFECT chocolate chip cookie.
(cody now typing) Non metaphorically speaking, if you want to know the literal truth of how we met.
I was attending a Christmas Party at the Hungenberg's. As I was down stairs chatting with Shane Dyer, I happened to glance up at the stair case. My neck immediately snapped as I did a double take of the most beautiful sight I had ever seen. As I used my hand to prop up my jaw that had fallen to the floor, I attempted to regain my composure and my ability to speak... I won't bore you with the details of the rest of that night, but I will say that my life started over from that moment on. I tell time differently now. There is life before Sara, and life after Sara and the kids arrived in my life. They marked a brand new chapter in my life that I can't stop reading. I am truly the luckiest and I am so grateful for the chance to start a new chapter with them on April 6th. I hope you can attend our special day, and get to see first hand as I break my neck, drop my jaw, and am turned speechless all over again. P.S. bring me some tissues.
