Sara and Katelyn met freshman year of high school when they both made the regrettable decision of taking "team sports" as their gym class and guitar class where their crowning achievement was playing greensleeves correctly. Their friendship has blossomed ever since!

Sara and Maggie were put in the same small group during their freshman year Park Scholarship retreat. They have since graduated with a degree in nutrition together, worked as MedServe fellows, and started medical school at the University of North Carolina, while doing some fun things along the way, like going to zumba classes and traveling to China. They also share the unique experience of introducing each other to their respective spouses!

Sara and Dylan share the unique and special experience of being raised by Brian and Dawn Jacob, and they also share the same facial features! Dylan is the brother of the bride.

Kyra was one of the first people Sara met when she started at NC State. They were both Maryland girlies, and ended up living together during the rest of their time at NC State. They are excited to both be getting married (and fighting for their lives planning their weddings) in 2024!

Michelle and Sara met in college and loved exploring local restaurants, coffee shops, and breweries (especially ones where they could study! Thanks Trophy) together. Michelle introduced Sara to Avatar: the Last Airbender which has truly been a life altering experience that Sara will forever be indebted to them for.

Christina and Sara met on the first day of medical school, when they sat at the same table for lunch (which Sara has since forgotten and Christina has reminded her 😔🤙) and they have been giving each other a hard time ever since. They became a “pod,” a pairing for medical school clinical rotations, and neighbors in the same apartment complex, where Sara likes to drop off baked goods and torture Christina's (demon) cat.

Sara and Kayla met the first week of medical school, and were placed in the same small group during their first semester, where they both had to Google "medical specialties that do not involve hematology."  They bonded over the chaos of medical school and their love of Taylor Swift and shenanigans, and were able to go to the Eras tour together in April!

Blake met Brooke in 2004, when she was a fresh baby, and thus the “womb buddies” came to fruition. Brooke is the sister of the groom.

Casey and Blake met through Maggie and Sara. They enjoy double dates and listening to their partners complain on walks around the neighborhood.

Nick and Blake met in middle school, when they were both very handsome and cool. Fortunately, they have stayed handsome and cool (and friends!) into adulthood, and Blake is so excited to have Nick stand up with him at the wedding.

Peyton and Blake met in 7th grade while suffering through the trenches of pre-algebra. They both survived and went on to do even more math(!) in college, and have stayed in touch ever since.

Sara and Tony met in the 4th grade at the legendary Club Friday and it was predetermined that they would one day be married (#sorry #heartbreaker). They grew up in the same neighborhood and went on family vacations together, and have been each others’ biggest supporters for as long as Sara can remember. Maybe if we’re lucky Tony will break out a song for us at the wedding!

Logan and Sara met in middle school, when they were both at their peak, and they have gone downhill ever since, hitting rock bottom when they had to quarantine with COVID together in 2021. Logan has become like a brother to Sara over the years, and Sara is so excited that he agreed to support her during her wedding!

Sara and Alex have known each other since elementary school, and they have been good friends ever since. From playing in a “band” (you’ll have to ask him about that) with her brother to bringing Sara Cafe Rio (God’s gift to earth and men) when she was quarantining with COVID, Alex and Sara have stayed close over the years and Sara is so excited he agreed to help with the wedding!
