Anyone who has ever visited Vegas and asked us for a recommendation knows we can give them all day long.
Here are 12 of our top recommendations in entertainment and activities (in no particular order).
Circque du Soleil has 6 permanent shows in Las Vegas! There is something different at each one, but you can't go too wrong.
Here is how some of the shows rank for us.
Most Daring-Do: Ka
Best Music: Beatles Love
Leader in Un-Assisted Feats of Strength: Mystere
(also the show featured in Knocked Up)
It is free to visit Seven Magic Mountains - you just have to get there! A bunch of painted rocks stacked in the middle of the desert is pretty cool to see.
If you have never been to Las Vegas you have to drive down the strip and see the lights!
The High Roller is a slow moving, 360 view above the Vegas Strip. Similar to the London Eye, this can be a fun way to experience the city. If taking a ride on The High Roller, consider a detour to Brooklyn Bowl for a show (or some bowling) or grab a cupcake from the Sprinkles ATM! There is a fun Polaroid Museum in this area as well (called The Linq) and some casual dining options. Not the shiniest area of The Strip but it is centrally located.
This particular theater has a DOLBY CINEMA theater - one of less than 300 in the world. We saw every Marvel and Star Wars movie at this theater and no other movie-going experience has ever measured up.
Fun little basement club that is different every time you go! There are generally 3 acts and a host - so if you don't like one of the comedians there is another around the corner!
Among may attractions, you can walk through an interactive MEOW WOLF Omega Mart exhibit. The tickets can be a bit confusing so give us a ring and we will help guide you!
Art Museum + Adult Arcade + Las Vegas Flare
It is truly amazing what they can do with flowers. We love checking out this seasonal show! And while you are there you can check out those fountains everyone is always going on about or whatever.
Move over Cirque Du Soleil! Speigleworld is where it is at. This was our favorite of this genre of show. The theater is very intimate which means you can see just how hard these acrobats are working. Be warned - this show is not for children or the pure of heart. Raunchy comedy.
BEST Escape Room we have been to still to this day! Both The Basement and The Study are incredible, challenging and have great production value. There is a horror storyline so beware!
The Neon Museum is a gem of Downtown Las Vegas. You will get to see some of the museum at the ceremony, but the main Neon Graveyard is still a sight to see on it's own - especially at night. If you want a truly unique experience among the neon, the Brilliant show is well worth the ticket price.
Take a hike... in the beautiful Red Rock Canyon National Park. Not much of a hiker? You can drive the 13.5 mile scenic loop as check out the tapestry of desert natural art.
Want the feel of hiking a national park without the entrance fee? Check out Calico Basin. It is just on the other side of the rocks and hosts free trails and pathways for a awesome morning hike. Just remember to go early - Las Vegas heat comes on fast!
