Spend some relaxing time at the beach. Just a 10 minute drive from Downtown Saugatuck. Parking is $10 fee at the gate with gate open from 9am-10pm. Other options to get there: ride the chain ferry (memorial day-labor day) across the river from downtown Saugatuck ($2 per person, each way), and walk a half mile along Perryman Street to the beach.
Call the interurban bus, 269-857-1418 from anywhere in Saugatuck/Douglas and they will drop you off and pick you up at the beach for $1 a ride, each way. you will not be required to pay the $10 beach parking fee.
