A lot of people say internet flings don't last, but this one happened to. We first started chatting on December 18th of 2019. Matt was drunk. I was not, of course. We were both looking for friends on an app called Badoo. He saw my profile and swiped right. I did the same to his. I was in Meijer in Alpena MI, and he was sitting with his friends, one of them being Cole, his best man. Matt decided to text me first. He said "Well you're not pretty" I didnt even get to read it before my phone was being blown up with apology messages. I thought it was funny that he was trying so hard to apologize, so I kept talking to him. We continued talking on snapchat and decided to meet for the first time on May 20th, of 2020. He was scared to meet me because he thought I wasnt real, (which I ended up finding out later)but he didnt regret it after all! Our first interaction is a running joke in our relationship.

Matt took me on a trip to Pennsylvania in October of 2022. He knew where he wanted to propose since he was a kid. We stayed the night at Nemacolin and went sightseeing. He took me to Cucumber falls and we climbed on the slippery rocks and made it behind the giant waterfall. We were enjoying the scenery and then our engagement took place.

Matthew:

Here you can use the water to wash your hands off

Sarah:

Oh my god its so cold!!

Matthew:

i see a BIG arrowhead.

Sarah:

Where??

Matthew:

By that big rock right there.

Sarah:

I don't see anything!

Matthew:

The big rock!!

Sarah:

What??

Matthew:

Will you marry me?

Sarah:

!!!!....Yes..

*starts to cry*

Matthew:

There are so many things i want to say... I'm going to make a lot of mistakes and you are probably going to get mad at me a lot. You're probably going to wonder why you married me halfway through our marriage.. but i know I wouldn't change anything about it. I want to spend the rest of my life with you. okay?

Sarah:

Okay.

Matthew:

*takes Sarah's hand in his and trys to slip a beautiful diamond ring on her finger*

....I can't get it on there right.

Sarah:

*puts the ring on the rest of the way*

*we kiss*

Matthew:

This is where I wanted to take you. Hundreds and hundreds of miles away but I knew where I wanted to take you. Cause I knew you like rocks and water and stuff like that.
