What should I wear?

Our venue is not a casual space. Flip flops, dirty or muddy clothing, anything with holes, jeans, shorts, t-shirts, baggy clothes, sweatpants, or anyone wearing mainly white is not recommended. Please dress formal- black tie optional for this event.

Can I bring my own alcohol?

No alcohol is allowed on the premises. You will be escorted out if you are caught with outside beverages by staff.

Is there alcohol at the reception?

In honor of Matthew's battle with sobriety and the day of the week our wedding falls on, we have chosen to have a dry wedding. There will still be plenty of non-alcoholic beverages to choose from. We have Signature mocktails available and we will have a sparkling cider toast. Kids can also particpate!

What type of food will be served at your wedding?

We are having a buffet style dinner. Entree- Honey Glazed Ham Starch- Au Gratin Potatoes Vegetable- Maple Glazed Baby Carrots Salad- Fresh Fruit Salad and Greek Pasta Salad Additional Items- Barbecue Meatballs, Tossed Garden Salad with Ranch and Italian Dressings, Ciabatta Rolls with Butter and there will also be a coffee station near the dessert table😊

Can I smoke?

The Ballroom has a strict policy of No smoking allowed within 50 feet of the venue. You will be asked to leave or escorted out if caught by staff.

When do I RSVP by?

Please RSVP by 04/15/2024 Please let us know ASAP if you have RSVP'D and cannot make it to our wedding. We need final guest counts by April 15th, 2024.

Can I RSVP online or do I have to mail in an RSVP card?

We invite you to RSVP online here, by email danieldarah728@gmail.com, by phone 989-657-2105 or by mailing in the RSVP card sent with the invitation.

Can I bring a plus one or invite other people?

No. Our budget is extremely limited. We have thoughtfully selected the people that are the most important to join us on our special day. Everyone that is invited will be included on the invitation that is delivered to your household.

Can I bring my children?

Any children that have been invited will be included in the invitation. We do ask if you intend on bringing your children, that they remain supervised for the duration of the event.

What time should I arrive at your wedding ceremony?

Our Ceremony will take place at 4:10 pm. We ask you arrive at least 15 minutes early so you have time to find parking and get inside and be seated.

Where will the ceremony take place?

Inside the ballroom. After the ceremony takes place, we will all go to Rosa Park (weather dependent) for a group photo so the staff can flip for our reception.

Will there be a time gap between your wedding ceremony and reception?

Yes. We need to give staff time to move chairs to prepare for the reception. This should only take about 30 minutes.

What time will your wedding reception end? Is there an after-party?

Our Reception will conclude at 10:00 pm. All guests will need to leave the ballroom by 11 pm. There is no after-party.

What are the addresses of the wedding ceremony and reception venues? Are they wheelchair accessible?

146 Monroe Center St NW, Grand Rapids, MI 49503. Both the Ceremony and Reception are taking place within the ballroom on the second floor. Elevators and entryways are wheelchair accessible .

Is there parking available near your wedding venue?

The Venues central location is right next to Rosa Parks Circle in Grand Rapids, which provides several options for parking. The closest option is the Ellis Monroe Center Lot, just a one-minute walk. Other nearby options include 128 Monroe Center St NW Parking (a 2-minute walk), and Ellis Parking Structure on Ionia, which is a 6-minute walk (0.3 miles). Check the Parking Section Tab for map links/directions to each parking structure.

Where should we bring/send our wedding gift?

Your presence at our wedding is the greatest gift we could ask for! If you would like to honor us with a gift, you can bring it with you to the wedding, or you can have it delivered to our home at 9 N Church St APT 503 Schenectady NY, 12305. A wedding card box will be at our reception as well.

What is the wedding day itinerary?

We have an itinerary available on our itinerary page on our website and on our formal invitations.

Am I allowed to take photos at your wedding ceremony?

Yes, however, we would like to designate a portion of our ceremony for people to take photos. We would appreciate if everyone would turn off their cell phones after the designated photo time so we can share this special moment with you. Please make sure you share your photos with us!

Can I post wedding photos on social media?

Yes, however, we would like to be the first to share our special day with everyone who couldn't be there.
