Places to Visit

The City Market

-Downtown Roanoke is fairly walkable and has a nice variety of stores such as Chocolatepaper, Ladles & Linens, and Mast General Store.

-Center in the Square: check out the miniature aquariums in the lobby or ride up to the top for an awesome view of Downtown Roanoke!

Black Dog Salvage

-This unique store was on the DIY Network as Salvage Dawgs. It has 2 warehouses full of their salvaged materials turned into furniture and household items. They also have booths from over 100 local artists, and you never know what hidden gems you might find!

Grandin Theater

-The Grandin Theater opened in Roanoke in 1932. It has an old-timey movie theater vibe, comfy seats, and excellent popcorn. This was Sarah's preferred movie theater for years, but is now permanently her favorite since Gregory proposed in front of it!

Outdoor Activities & Hikes

Hikes:
-McAfee Knob
-Sharp Top
-Roaring Run
-Bottom Creek Gorge

Roanoke Star
To visit the star, you either can drive to the parking lot at the top or you can hike the Mill Mountain Star Trail.

Roanoke River Greenway
-If you want an easy walk or bike ride, the greenway is perfect. It is a 14 mile paved trail with 9 trail head options. You can walk on the Greenway to one of our favorite restaurants, the Green Goat!
