We are so excited you'll be joining us out in the Pacific Northwest! We think it is one of the most beautiful areas in the country, especially in the summertime, with stunning nature and outdoors activities. Below we've included a handful of suggestions for things to do locally, in Seattle, and in the greater region based on the length of your visit. And of course, please don't hesitate to reach out to us if you'd like any other trip recommendations!

Local Activities

Speelyi Beach at Lake Cle Elum

Lake Cle Elum is a truly stunning scene with beautiful mountain views right from the beach. It can be a little bit windy in the summer, but this is still the perfect spot for swimming, picnicking, or playing spikeball. Map to Lake Cabins Rd, Cle Elum, WA 98922

Suncadia Golf Courses

Suncadia offers two championship golf courses. Josiah has never broken 100 on any of these courses, or– in fact– any course anywhere. Yet, for some reason, he continues to try. See more information and book a tee time.

Downtown Roslyn

Just a 10-minute drive from Suncadia is the quaint historical town of Roslyn. We think this town is one of the cutest in the area. Some of our favorite spots include Basecamp Books & Bites, Heritage Distillery, & The Brick Saloon. The Roslyn Farmer's Market is every Sunday from 10am-2pm and is a great way to kill a couple of hours.

Suncadia Hiking Trails

Suncadia Resort has more than 40 miles of multi-use trails, including some great hiking trails. These hikes are super accessible and can be done in an hour or two by hikers of any skill level. We especially recommend the hikes that go down to Cle Elum River, and if you bring your swimming suit it's usually possible to take a swim. Find the full trail map here.

Pete Lake Trailhead

9 mile out-and-back trail with limited elevation gain. Stunning alpine lake with snow-covered peaks rewards you at the top! Bring bathing suit and lunch for an afternoon break. More information here.

Cooper Lake

A favorite alpine lake of ours. Be warned the water is typically super cold. Access requires AWD or 4WD.
