After college, we started taking reunion trips with friends and ended up going to Suncadia almost every year. We really loved the area, and in 2020, Sarah bought a house in Cle Elum! We fell in love with the access to nature (night skiing after work, gardening, camping up in forest roads, jumping in the lake) and had a wonderful few years exploring the area with friends. This area holds a special place in our hearts, and we can't wait to share it with you.
If coming from out-of-state, you will want to fly into the Seattle-Tacoma International Airport.
As the venue is out of the city, you will need to rent a car or coordinate a rental car with others attending in order to get there. The drive from Seattle to Suncadia Resort is about 1.5 hours away, the route is here.
We recommend that all of our guests stay in Suncadia Resort for the wedding weekend.
Suncadia Resort is a Hyatt property which has both a Lodge and many rental homes. The rooms at the lodge can be booked directly through the Suncadia website, and the rental homes are available on Airbnb, VRBO, Vacation Rentals 365, and All Seasons Vacation Rentals. We recommend coordinating with a group to rent out a house, there are beautiful properties with plenty of room for groups of all sizes. Most of these sites also have great cancellation policies, so we recommend booking sooner rather than later!
If you can't find a place within Suncadia, staying within the greater Cle Elum, Roslyn, Ronald etc. area will still allow you to be close to the venue. Some options include Hotel Roslyn and the more budget-friendly Best Western in Cle Elum. If you are on an especially tight budget please reach out to Sarah & Josiah as we may have a couple of air-mattress options.
To give you an idea of what's available, here are a few lodging options including some larger rental homes:
Guest ranch with horseback riding!
If you are interested in camping, we can also share lots of other locations and options around the area.
